Hello, my name is Sarah and I am an experienced, qualified Counsellor, fully insured and B.A.C.P. registered.
I work mainly from two locations in East Sussex. In Battle and from the quietness of my own home in St Leonards on Sea, providing a supportive, non-judgemental, confidential space as you explore and work through personal issues, concerns, life changes, relationship breakdowns, bereavement and moments of crisis at your own pace, in your own way. I am also able to visit you at home if getting to a counseling office is difficult for you.
I have experience in many areas including domestic abuse, brain injury and trauma, self-esteem and confidence issues, bereavement, work related issues, relationship difficulties, depression, anxiety and eating disorders.

In my experience, difficult and often painful life events and experiences can cause significant, and at times overwhelming, feelings of grief, loss and discord. When unaddressed, these difficulties are unlikely to disappear and can manifest themselves in many life-limiting ways. I believe in offering you a safe, non-judgemental, supportive space where you can talk through your concerns, where together we can explore them, help you get a different perspective, find coping strategies and change patterns of behaviour. Often, just allowing yourself the space and time to look at the things that are troubling you can be the key to positive change, growth, self fulfilment and the first step towards becoming more of the person you want to be.
My training is as an integrative counsellor which means I am able to work using both talking and creative therapies. Adopting an approach that best suits the way you look at life and your concerns and feel most comfortable.

I currently work providing counselling within my private practice to adults, young people and couples. I also work as a Brain Injury Case Manager providing rehabilitation to survivors (and families) of traumatic brain injury in rebuilding their lives. I have over ten years experience of working with families in crisis and victims of domestic abuse both in a residential and outreach setting.
As a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy I adhere to their code of ethics and practice and am covered by full insurance

Please feel free to contact me by email address or phone if you would like to talk over coming to counselling.

The initial meeting and assessment are confidential and at no cost. I look forward to hearing from you.
