East Sussex Counsellors are a group of ten professionally trained counsellors practising privately in different parts of the county. We all know one another because we also serve as volunteer counsellors with Counselling Plus, a charity serving Hastings, Eastbourne and the surrounding communities.
This means that we have direct knowledge of one another’s approach to counselling and have mutual confidence in the professional skills and expertise which we can each bring to that work.
All members of East Sussex Counsellors are qualified to at least Diploma level. We each attend regular courses and undertake other forms of continuing professional education to make sure that we are keeping up to date and are open to new and better ways of helping our clients.
We are all guided by the ethical code of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, as the main professional body. That means that, for client protection, we all take our client work to “supervision” with another independent counsellor on a confidential basis; and we all hold professional indemnity insurance.
All of our counsellors are experienced in handling a wide range of client issues such as bereavement and other loss, relationship problems, depression and anxiety, work-related stress, and anger management, for example.
All the counsellors operate within their local area including counselling in Hastings.
But please look at the web pages for each individual counsellor to see which of us you think might best be able to help you with your particular issues.
